Men Against Violence Against Women is a volunteer-based organization founded and run by men who seek an end to gender violence and sexism. Since 2000, we have dedicated ourselves to speaking up and supporting domestic and gender violence agencies, corporations, education systems, and community organizations who align with our mission. We embrace the role of the bystander and offer opportunity for men, women and children to become educated, take action and positively change lives.
As an official auxiliary organization of Hubbard House, one of the leading Domestic Violence shelters in the state of Florida, we draw on their legacy of “safety for victims and their children, empowering victims, and social change through education and advocacy.” Working in partnership with Hubbard House, we seek opportunities to affect positive change amidst the culture of sexism and violence which so often leads to silence and violence perpetrated by our male peers.
Violence against women is a pervasive problem not only in our society but globally. It can include physical violence, emotional abuse, sexual abuse and economic abuse. To learn more go to www. Hubbardhouse.org.
